Tuesday, April 10, 2018. For the last year, my halftime job has been to teach non-CS uni students to program in Python. While doing that, I have been trying to see what common stumbling blocks exist for novice programmers. There are many things that could be said here, but a common theme that emerges is hard-to-understand error messages. One source of such error messages, particularly when starting out, is.
Aperture and EXIF GPS Data. It appears that over time, applications I use tend to mysteriously lose functionality when they are updated or new versions are released. Yes, I use Apple Inc. The latest seems to be the inability to set GPS data in photographs that dont already contain them. Application completely lacks the feature and Aperture. With a bunch of photos that needed to be Geo-tagged and no easy way to do it.

A Desert Flower on the wind. The one object that people are less surprised to learn that we use in our artwork is sand.
